My Role
- Scoped 2023 hourly data for 33,871 single-route vessels
- Documented differences between overlapping columns (speed, wave height, wind) and proposed merge keys
- Analyzed voyage durations to find where timesteps needed alignment
- Proposed filling the domestic gap with about 590,000 free AIS records
Result
- Wrote the data collection proposal for a data voucher project
- Documented column definitions and merge rules as the baseline for data cleaning
